What is Filter Keys Setter
FilterKeys is an accessibility feature in Windows designed to manage how the system processes keyboard input, primarily for users with motor impairments. Its purpose is to introduce intentional delays (e.g., ignoring repeated or accidental key presses) and does not optimize input for speed or performance.

These APIs are already optimized for minimal latency and do not rely on the Windows’ high-level keyboard processing, which FilterKeys modifies. As a result, changes in FilterKeys has no effect on how games receive or handle input.
Peripheral input delay in games is typically influenced by other elements, such as:
- Wired or wireless connection
- Quality of firmware or drivers for that hardware
- Polling rates
And in keyboards specifically, actuation point and other input centric settings (like shown in some wooting keyboards) such as rapid trigger which allows for input to be detected at any point of travel, not just when keys return to the top.
